Low-Carb Butter Chicken Masala from India

Serves 4, your time = 5mins, cooking time = 20mins.
One serving contains 18 protein, 14.6g carbs and 4.1g of fiber for 10.5g of net carbs.
This is a new blog and perhaps the expectation is that anyone blogging about food and sharing recipes must be a great cook. I'm not a bad cook, even if I do say so myself, but I'm also a reluctant cook and bussy so I like fast, easy food. You wont find much convenience food in my kitchen because cooking from scratch is much faster, easier and healthier than many realize but this is one of the exceptions.

Parampara is made in India with very simple ingredients that you know. What I like is that when you look at the package you can see that all it contains is ground spices and some oils. What I like even better is that with this magic packet I can cook a delicious low-carb curry for my family that has got me complements from friends, family AND my Indian neighbors (who now use Parampara) and it takes 5 minutes to prepare.. I timed it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Parampara butter chicken spices
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 medium size onion
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy wiping cream
  • 1 cup water

Ok, here we go. Cut up the chicken breasts and one medium size onion. Heat the butter in your pan, add the chicken and the onion. Once the chicken browns a bitt add the contents of the spice package and a cup of water. When the gravy starts to reduce add between a half and a full cup of heavy cream depending on how spicy you want it. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes and its ready to serve.
