I found this recipe in Chang, Sun-youns’s fantastic book called A Korean Mothers Cooking Notes. I purchased my copy on my first trip to Korea after falling in love with the people and their cuisine. My Korean college helped me choose, advising that it was indeed full of authentic and popular Korean dishes. It is available on Amazon in hardback and softback.

This is a great carb free starter or snack that takes about 5 minutes to cook.
We lived just south of Athens in a seaside town called Glyfada. There were lots of tavernas selling lots of fish, I remember these little fried fish well; I remember eating lots of them. They're amazingly easy to cook, a bit crunchy, and the flour coating soaks up the lemon perfectly.

My first food memory
I grew up traveling the world, living in a different country every year or two so I was exposed to world food from the start.
My first actual food memory is from when I was 4 years old. I was living in Uganda and I was helping our housekeeper gather great big grasshoppers to make a traditional Ugandan soup. Thanks to wikipedia I now know they were Nsenene or long-horned grasshoppers and that it was traditional for children to help collect the grasshoppers.
So whats this blog about?
I am on a mission to find food from around the world that is natural, simple, preferably traditional and low-carb/LCHF/Palio. I travel a lot and have always loved spicy and exotic food. This blog will be a place for me to share low-carb recipes I have found or foods I love that I've adapted to low-carb.
